Runup at this location on the mainland in Sendangbru was measured at 3.4 meters above mean sea level. Multiple water marks left on the outside, landward wall of this home suggest several inundations.




Runup at this location on the mainland in Sendangbru was measured at 3.6 meters above mean sea level. An eyewitness provided an estimate of the tsunami's runup along the wall of this fish-processing plant. The eyewitness estimated the runup to be about one meter above the sidewalk that runs along the wall. Damage above this level was caused by the impact of a tsunami-transported fishing boat.
