The OverCompensator

image

The Overcompensator was a large rocket built in the autumn of 2013. The body was made of 7.5 inch phenolic tube and the tail was an external cluster originally flown on Winglee's Wild Ride. After the crash of that rocket, it was refit to accommodate a large body tube. The Overcompensator flew October 26th 2013 at Mansfield, WA and was completely successful. At the time, it was the largest cluster (six motors) to be successfully recovered at UW.
