Position track with respect to magnetic (CGM) and geographic
coordinates (as of January 22, 2000)

Preliminary, quick look data
These data are provided as key-parameter data to summarize the
observations made by the MAXIS auroral x-ray instruments.
Please contact the MAXIS PI

Count rates |

The plot to the left summarizes the GeD, PXRI,
and CXRI count rates for the entire flight between January 12-30, 2000.
Note two large auroral x-ray events on January 19-20, 2000 and
January 22-26, 2000. Count rates for these events are shown below.

|
Count rates for the January 19-20, 2000 auroral x-ray event.
|
Count rates for the between January 22-24, 2000. This event, extending
through January 26, 2000 may have been associated with a period of
disturbed solar wind conditions that may have included a CME interaction
with the magnetosphere.
