The ESA/NASA Solar and Heliospheric
Observatory recorded this image of two coronal mass
ejections, Venus and Mars. The first is evident at the top of
the figure, while the second appears as a `halo' event as the
sequence progresses.
The blue disk blocks out the Sun's bright light; the white circle near the center shows the true size of the Sun. |
