The fatalities in Coishco occured to six line fishermen on the rocks. The tsunami also left 100 people injured, 20 homes destroyed, 1 person gravely injured, 2 people missing people, and about 25 boats damaged (2 of them destroyed). A 30 meter long brick wall located about 150 meters from the shoreline, collapsed from the force of the tsunami wave in Coishco.
