Runup Data for G-Land
The following table contains both the raw runup data as recorded in the field and corrected runup data that have been adjusted for the difference in the tidal level at the time of tsunami attack and the time of the runup measurements. A raw runup value represents the vertical height the tsunami reached at a measurement location above the sea level (SL) at the time of measurement. A corrected runup value represents the vertical height the tsunami reached at a measurement location above mean sea level (MSL).

*An evaluation of the runup-measurement accuracy was made during the field survey by some of the survey teams; ratings on a subjective scale of A to C were assigned to each measurement on the basis of the surveyor's confidence in the accuracy of the respective measurement.
